Army Engineers in Action in Vietnam
|
SKU: 119 60 min/color - This video contains the following four films: "Engineers: They Clear the Way" - 28 minutes "We Build, We Fight" - 22 minutes "Engineers Up!" - 10 minutes and "The Engineer Battle in Vietnam" - 28 minutes. All these films were produced by the US Army Picture Service. These four films depict the crucial role the Army Engineers and the Corps of Engineers played in the Vietnam War. The films cover clearing and making airfields, runways, bridges and ports, clearing mines and booby traps. The films emphasize the danger the Engineers encountered. "They often have to fight, before they can work" is often demonstated in these powerful documetary films. There is lots of rare footage too... helicopter airlifts, dozers, explosives, live combat footage, and lots of US Army Engineer operations. The role of the Navy SeaBees and Marine Corps Combat Engineers are also discussed. This is a very rare collection of Army Engineer films.
