Air Force Academy Class of 1959 Video DVD or VHS
|
SKU: 006 15 min/b&w - "Air Force Academy...Class of 1959" was produced in 1955 by the US AIR FORCE as a way to show incoming cadets what their first year at the Academy was going to be like. This video was made back when the AIR FORCE ACADEMY was at Lowry Air Force Base... before the completion of the new Academy in Colorado Springs. The film follows members of the Class of 1959 as they enter the Air Force Academy in July. It cover all the training of the first year.
The Class of 1959 was the first class to go on to graduate from the new Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. This film just covers the first year of the Class of 1959... not any following years. There is a nice scene of the Cadets parading in front of President Eisenhower. This very rare film is in good condition, however, due to the film's age, there are a few spots in the DVD where the film jumps very briefly. Video on DVD or VHS.
