SKU: 088 20 min/b&w - This US Navy film, titled "BLACK CAT SQUADRON" is a documentary of the little known PBY Catalina amphibians that were converted to night bombers to attack the Japanese fleet during WWII. The first Black Cat squadron was VP-12 and operated PBY-5A’s out of Henderson Field on Guadalcanal. This is extremely rare video of these incredible planes. The video is filled with fascinating footage of the Black Cats making night time bombing runs on the Japanese fleets.
